PJ All-Chinese Associations at the Imperial Palace (Tai Thong) Restoran, PJ
The associations had a combined, albeit belated, CNY do at the Imperial Restaurant. Association President, Dato' Woo, and Huazong President, Tan Sri Dato Pheng, were present. The dinner was also attended by Deputy Minister Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, MP Hee Loy Sian, Aduns Edward Lee, Lau Weng San and myself. Dato' Dr Wong Sai Hou and Dato' CK Lim were also among the guests.

Pakatan Rakyat CNY function in Puchong
Pakatan Rakyat held a successful, also belated, CNY bash behind Tesco in Puchong. Guests included Datuk Dr Ron Tan Kwee Kong (PKR) and Ustaz Mahfuz (Pas).
The DUST (Damansara Utama Support Team), comprising Robert Tan, James Ooi, Michael Soon were there to lend support. Chris Chu also made a short appearance.

27 Feb 2010
8pm; Chap Goh Mei celebrations at I-City, Shah Alam
I-City and MBSA (Majlis Bandar Shah Alam) jointly hosted this CNY function. The colourful event was graced by MB Tan Sri Dato' Seri Khalid, and attended by the state Excos, MPs and Aduns. MBPJ councilor Michael Soon and I had the pleasure of the company of our wives.
About 40,000 turned up to enjoy the youthful performances presented by the Klang schools. The Selangor state dance troupe gave a professional performance.

27 February 2010, 11am; PJ Old Town temple
At a smallish Chinese temple, local temple priest Yap conducted temple prayers. Surprisingly a continuous stream of devotees flowed in, numbering some 300 plus adults.
Pigeons were released, and food hampers as well as ang-pows were given to about 50 senior citizens and OKUs (orang kurang upaya). Local philanthropist Yong also donated angpows to them and to the children of the devotees.
MBPJ councillor Tang and I helped with the hamper and ang pow distribution.
YB Hee Loy Sian and YB Haniza also came.

25 Feb 2010, 7.30pm; SS2/82 PJ
The residents of SS2c & SS2d welcomed the CNY with a Mesra Rakyat dinner. An estimated 850 residents - young and old – participated, making it truly a family affair.
Bobby (SS2d chairman) and Datuk Alagaratnam (SS2c chairman), their deputies Tan Beng Teik and Robert, were present along with the rest of their committee members. Resident association committees from the neighboring SS2a, SS2b, Tmn Megah, Tmn Bkt Megah Mas and Tmn Mayang, local councillors Terence Tan and Michael Tan were also present, as were DUST members who came in full force.
To publicise the green initiative of the Selangor PR state government, 'green eco-bags' were distributed to the revellers. As was our usual practice this year, each bag contained 2 mandarin oranges to also convey CNY greetings.
I had the pleasure of addressing the constituents.

25 Feb 2010; Dap Klang CNY dinner
Tee Boon Hock (Klang Liaision chairman) organized this CNY celebration for the Klang Dap branches. YBs Ronnie, Lau Weng San, Manoharan, Charles Santiago and Ean Yong were there too.
