Dr Cheah's condition - an update

After spending 6 weeks in intensive care, Dr Cheah was at last transferred to the general ward this afternoon. All the fractures have been fixed and his condition is stable. I have just dropped in to see him - his wife, sister and brother-in-law were with him, and physiotherapy was in progress.

Dr Cheah has physiotherapy 4 times a day, and receives assistance with his daily needs. He will have to go through a prolonged period of recuperation and rehabilitation from here on.

On doctors' advice, visitation other than from family members and relatives will necessarily be limited, to allow rest and to reduce the risk of infection.

In the meantime, Dr Cheah's personal assistant, Mr Richard Yap, and his team are continuing to service the Damansara Utama constituency at the service centres.

Mrs Cheah and the family, once again, thanks all the relatives, friends and well-wishers for their continued concern and support. May God bless you all.

Thank you for the update. It is so good to hear that Dr. Cheah is making positive progress to recovery. We want to wish him well and pray that his healing will be speedy and that God will grant him total recovery in accelarated time.

Good to hear that Dr Cheah is now recuperating. He will always be in our prayers.
On another note, I spoke to his clinic nurse in SS2 and was told that for the time being his patients are not able to get their medications. Could anyone help me with information on how to go about in getting these medications? 2 of my friends are his patients and they are getting worried about it and they really shouldn't go without those medications.

Maybe this blog administrator or Mr Richard Yap have some suggestions? I can be contacted at 019-3866721. This matter is a little on the urgent side...

Dear Pixie,
Thank you for your posting.
I had been told that the necessary arrangements have already been made for the continuing care of Dr Cheah's patients.
However, I have forwarded your query for the attention of Dr Cheah's family and his PA, Mr Richard Yap.
Just in case you don't hear from them in the next few days, can you please phone Mr Yap.
Best wishes.
